Banner Homes: under a cloud
Article Abstract:
Banner Homes is a UK housebuilder which has been affected by a drop in UK house prices and a rise in the cost of land and building materials. The company aimed to sell 200 homes in the FY 1994 to 1995, but only sold 154 homes. House prices are continuing to fall, and costs are still rising. Large construction companies can increase production of homes, but Banner does not have enough resources to buy large amounts of land in order to do this.
