E-ffects of the e-economy
Article Abstract:
The new e-economy is likely tomean that bonds see rises in real yields, while government issuance drops and corporate issuance increases. Inflation expectations look set to fall, since prices should be reduced by e-commerce, especially between businesses. Technology will see a slowdown in the pace of growth over the longer term, and an inverted yield curve may develop. Volatility is likely to occur because the precise impact of the changes cannot be forecast.
