Eco alert: bathroom inspection!
Article Abstract:
The new developments in razors reflect the growing need to satisfy consumer demand. The development of the Bic disposable razor, for instance, was born out of the desire for a cheap alternative to durable razors and to satisfy the fast-paced lifestyle of the 1980s. The Gillette Sensor, on the other hand, was designed to conform to environmental consciousness standards as it is made of recyclable materials. The Advanced Wet Shave Ceramic Razor takes the environmental concept a step further as its design features a titanium-coated ceramic blade which will never rust or corrode and can be used continuously for several years.

No corners cut
Article Abstract:
Scientifically improved toothbrushes and razors come our way through the efforts of research-driven Gillette Company. Coming out with the Mach 3 razor cost the firm more than $750 million in research funds. Re-engineered blades that have thinner edges cause less drag and irritation and are easier to rinse out. On the other hand, Gillette's Oral-B division launched its Cross Action toothbrush which features arrayed bristles in different angles and heights for improved cleaning power. Flexing its design muscles, Gillette makes sure it stays a step ahead of its competitors.

Brush with greatness: With dual grips, swoopy curves and performance bristles, a prosaic bathroom necessity goes high tech
Article Abstract:
Toothbrushes have moved into new realms of technology, with newly shaped handles, dual grips and swooping contours. Oral-B had just one toothbrush design on the market from the 1950s to the 1990s, but has introduced three new models over the last 10 years. There are almost 300 toothbrush brands available, and new designs include Carewell's SpringClean featuring tufts mounted on individual spring platforms, and Bioware's Alert featuring a microsensor to alert the user when excessive gum-damaging pressure is being exerted.
