Eight O'Clock Coffee combats "grinder phobia"

Eight O'Clock Coffee took advantage ot the growing consumption of whole bean coffee by launching a marketing campaign developed by Southport, CT- based promotion agency, Creative Alliance/AIM. The agency's Brand Ambassadors invaded high traffic areas, such as shopping centers, offering fresh cup of hot coffee, a coupon and an Eight O'Clock coffee premium. In addition, Brand Ambassadors scheduled in-store events to combat 'grinder phobia' by demonstrating to consumers how easy it is to grind their own coffee.

Sears & Levi's launch joint promotion

Sears, Roebuck and Co and Levi Strauss and Co have introduced a marketing campaign on their sponsorship of pop star Christina Agilera's concert tour. Christina Boutiques, in 650 Sears' full line outlets will provide tour information, Christina CDs, T-shirts, accessories and back-to-school supplies. Also, Sears will offer exclusively a different Christina enhanced CD for $1.99 with any $35 purchase at select departments.
