The South Bend Tribune, an Indiana-based publisher, is using national television to extend its popular national title on Notre Dame University football, Irish Sports Report. In the weekly, 30-minute show, "Irish Sports Reporters on TV," sports experts discuss and comment on Notre Dame football and the Notre Dame athletic program. The show, which currently reaches more than 11 million homes nationwide every Wednesday, is a unique opportunity for the publisher to market its Notre Dame-related products.

Joint MLK celebration

Elgin DDB, the advertising agency formerly known as Elgin Syferd, and The Seattle Times newspaper are the partners behind the annual advertising campaign to promote the celebration of the national Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The annual ad campaign, which celebrated its first decade on Jan 17, 2000, was participated in by media in the states of Maine, Oregon, Idaho and Washington. The Seattle Times pays for all expenses while Elgin provides its creative services to the campaign.
