December Auditing Paper Too Easy? Think Again
Article Abstract:
Examinations on auditing for United Kingdom accounting students are criticized as being too straightforward. The three-hour exam is divided into three parts, which puts time constraints on the detail that can be expected. However, when studied more thoroughly, one can see the layers of knowledge and detail that could have been uncovered by the responses. Several exam questions are listed and discussed as to topics uncovered - particularly concerning true and fair and post-balance sheet events.
