Ensuring a better deal
Article Abstract:
The huge increases in general insuranc premiums is of concern to many high net worth customers who wish to preserve their wealth. Some insurance companies have launched services aimed at higher net worth individuals. Lloyd's broker Towry Law has introduced its Premier household and personal insurance service for householders with personal effects worth more than 50,000 pounds sterling and property worth more than 150,000 pounds sterling. Masterpiece is a similar policy jointly underwritten by Sun Alliance and Chubb Insurance and is targeted at householders who spend over 1,5000 pounds sterling a year on household insurance premiums.

Home-contents insurance for high rollers
Article Abstract:
Some 20% of United Kingdom homes are under-insured, and this is a particular problem for those with contents worth 75,000 pounds sterling or more. Insurers may offer better rates than expected, partly because they believe that high value possessions are more likely to be cared for, and because antiques and the like are more difficult to sell than consumer durables such as TVs. High-value insurance may also offer higher limits for specific items. The best policies offer cover world-wide on an all-risks basis.
