Monetary transmission: what do we know and how can we use it?
Article Abstract:
Monetary transmission theory is burdened by imperfections and limited economic data that it may be a good practice to drop the use of unduly rigid priors. Policy makers should therefore adopt other structural policy models or a reduced form of these models but questions still remain on what models to be adopted and what models to be rejected. Policy makers should, in light of imperfect data, continue to assess monetary transmission and adopt further policy adjustments when necessary.

European industry and finance face world competition
Article Abstract:
The advent of the single European currency should force European industry and finance sectors to reconsider their roles and their responses to such economic integration. Economic integration should also be coupled with political integration to be more effective. Also, the industrial sector should play a major role in the formulation and implementation of economic integration since they are mostly affected by it.
