Expression profiling using a hexamer-based universal microarray
Article Abstract:
A transcriptional analysis platform having a universal micro-array system (UMAS) can produce expression profiles from any organization without any prior species-specific knowledge of transcript sequences. This technology assists in demonstrating the expression profiling of a hybrid organism and can detect the expression of a mammalian gene in relation to the yeast transcriptome.

The plasma membrane-bound phospholipase D(delta) enhances freezing tolerance in Arabidopsis thaliana
Article Abstract:
The genetic alteration of the gene encoding phospholipase D(delta) (PLD(delta)) can be used to manipulate the freezing tolerance in Arabidopsis thaliana. Genetic knockout of plasma membrane-associated PLD(delta) rendered Arabidopsis thaliana plants showed that they were sensitive to freezing and freezing tolerance increased due to overexpression of PLD(delta).
