FKI's buying power
Article Abstract:
FKI is acquiring Hawker Siddley Electric Power, a company making products for electricity firms, for 183 million pounds sterling. FKI raised 136 million pounds sterling from shareholders in 1995 which have been spent with this deal. The deal should strengthen the company's engineering activities and Hawker Siddley brings in new products. There are also tax benefits from the acquisition, and news of the deal led to a rise in FKI's share price.
