Article Abstract:
Developments in technology such as electronic mail, computer software and hardware, and intranets have contributed to changes which will determine how accounting firms will operate in the future. The services of other financial institutions such as banks and investment firms have also changed, with an overlapping of services such as insurance and investment banking. Accounting firms will need to provide value-added services to their customers in the future in order to adopt to these changes.
