Chasing peak pensions performance
Article Abstract:
Almost half of UK adults are making no pension provision apart from the state scheme, which 90% of adults say is not enough to live on. Investors should start making contributions early since it becomes more expensive the longer they delay payments. The performance of the fund is important and managed funds are a sensible idea for smaller investors since they do not have enough to diversify. They can accept higher risk levels the further away they are from retirement.

Where there are people, there are pensions
Article Abstract:
Management buy-outs may involve pension commitments and actuarial advice is important since pension rights can affect a company's commercial success. Employee contracts are transferred to new owners. Employees should be told about plans for pensions through meetings and newsletters, and they should be notified of rights and benefits in new pension schemes. Pension fund liabilities may exceed a company's value, so this area must be examined by those involved in mBOs.
