First time's the charm for Imedia to win $2.5 million account
Article Abstract:
Advertising agency Imedia won its first formal pitch for an account when it was chosen by the North American division of Lexington, MA-based solutions integrator Logica. Despite committing some mistakes during the presentation, the firm was able to secure the account worth $2.5 million over such giant agencies as Ruder Finn, Manning, Selvage and Lee and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. Imedia will market Logica as the leading systems integrator that provides solutions around a product or concept to enable the latter to compete with big companies such as IBM and Microsoft Corp.

IBM seeking consistency in messages; drops from 30 direct marketing agencies to 4 to handle account
Article Abstract:
IBM Corp, manufacturer of computing products and services, has consolidated its direct marketing account in four agencies in an effort to convey a consistent brand message. These agencies include Barry Blau & Partners of Wilton, CT, OgilvyOne of NY, Strategic Interactive Group subsidiary Bronner Slosberg Humphrey and Wunderman Cato Johnson. Mark Stevens, IBM director of worldwide sales promotion and direct marketing, explains that the decrease in the number of agencies will allow the company to assign an agency to a particular brand and specialize on it.
