France: not yet
Article Abstract:
The French stock market is not likely to perform well in the three months from Oct 1995, according to Morgan Stanley. There is unlikely to be a large enough drop in interest rates to help the market, and the French franc is not likely to be devalued. Exports and industry would be aided by a drop in the value of the franc, but interest rates are a more important factor, affecting economic growth and exacerbating concern over the budget deficit. There is doubt as to whether the budget deficit can be kept to 3% of gross domestic product.
