Symphony in CA major

Article Abstract:

Walt Burton effectively combines music and accounting. Burton, aside from being a chartered accountant, is a professional oboe player with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra. Burton acquired his accountancy degree at the age of 52, when Burton felt he needed a secure job other than his music work. Burton took up a business course major in accounting at the Okanagan University College. Burton still plays with the orchestra while maintaining a job for the accounting firm KPMG in Vernon, British Columbia.

The proposed draft highlights the exclusion of non-cash transaction in cash flow statements and the treatment of short-term, highly liquid investments as cash equivalents. It further outlines several standards on identifying the composition of cash and cash equivalents.
