Getting real about valuations in biotech
Article Abstract:
Valuation is the process by which companies and investors assess the worth of their products and programs and is used by companies to guide decisions on project development, licensing negotiations with partners and how equity is divided among investors and management. Valuations of biotech companies and their products are particularly difficult because of the long product development times, high risk of failure and susceptibility of business of changing market conditions.
