Continuous Linked Settlement is an eight-month-old $300 million set-up that aims to do away with foreign exchange settlement risk by creating a daily five-hour window where payments are made and received at the same time. The CLS Bank is constituted of around 65 major foreign exchange banks, and hopes to bring in more currencies from around the world to further expand its area of operation.
