Article Abstract:

The introduction of International Standards on Auditing and Ethical Standards had benefited many companies from the required review of internal controls and accounting systems. It was recommended that the policy of educating clients and relevant peers would continue to highlight the value of their audits which was not marketed as strongly by the auditors dealing with SMEs.

Decision time for private company GAAP?

Article Abstract:

The draft international accounting standard for SMEs has drawn much flak as being unsuitable and ineffective. But it is suggested that this standard could actually be adopted beneficially for private company GAAP in the U.K. and worldwide in the growing international environment of business.
