Goodyear introduces Gemini auto care program

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co rolled out the Gemini Automotive Care Program as part of an initiative to bolster consumers' auto service experience. The new Gemini brand name, feturing its distinctive blue-and-gold elliptical logo, will soon be seen across the United States as new in- store signage is installed. The Gemini Automotive Care Program includes new merchandising system, ongoing associate training, new standards of customer service and a third-party auditing system.

Colgate launches auto racing promotion

Colgate-Palmolive Co rolled out a major in-store racing promotion at Kmart Corp. Created by Busch Creative Services of St Louis, MO, the promotion showcases a unique race car-shaped main-aisle display. Consumers are offered a free fan club membership if they buy any five Colgate products from the display, which features a host of Colgate products such as Clear Anti-Perspirant Speed Stick, Total Fresh Stripe toothpaste and the new Navigator toothbrush.
