Anthrax
Article Abstract:
Doctors must become familiar with anthrax because it could be used as a biological weapon. Anthrax is a bacterial infection that can cause death within days and is almost 100% fatal. It is transmitted by spores, which can be inhaled. The bacteria produces a toxin called endotoxin, which is the agent that actually kills the patient. A complete description of the disease, its signs and symptoms, diagnosis and treatment is included.
