Psion the organizer

Psion's 99.5 pounds sterling Psion Organizer II pocket computer has a data bank, electronic diary, alarm clock, and program language similar to dBase II. It uses a battery or regular electrical outlet. Organizer II contains 8 to 32 Kb memory, or has outlets for Datapaks equivalent to floppy disks with 8 to 128 Kb memory. The electronic diary can be used enter messages or appointments within half-hour sequences for any day. The calculator has all standard functions, and is also programmable. What distinguishes Organizer II from a large calculator is its programming language and ability link up with other computers such as IBM or Amstrad PC. Prepackaged Organizer programs are also available.

UN panel on Iraq recommends 'reinforced' monitoring regime
Article Abstract:
A UN panel on Iraq has concluded that it is still necessary to continue inspections and monitoring, to prevent Iraq reconstituting its weapons of mass destruction programs. Its report notes that the majority of Iraq's proscribed weapons programs have been eliminated, but there are outstanding issues relating to most major weapons categories, particularly biological weapons.

The wreck of the Braer
Article Abstract:
The oil spill from the tanker Braer off the coast of Shetland has spurred debate whether the accident could have been prevented after the engines malfunctioned and whether clean up attempts do any good. An investigation into the ship's handling is underway.
