The Collaborative on Health and the Environment is a collective effort of about one hundred groups, with the primary aim of raising public awareness to the hazards of contaminants commonly found in the environment, and their spiraling effect on healthcare expenses. According to a study conducted by one of the groups, Environmental Working Group, there may be around 53 carcinogens and 55 toxins in a personEs body.
