Article Abstract:
The fiscal 2006 military money measures constituting the fiscal 2006 Department of Defense (DOD) authorization bill seem to be premature, with many major questions affecting signal defense acquisition remaining unresolved. The ongoing Quadrennial Defense Review, which is trying to address such questions, would take longer than expected to produce any conclusions in the recent future, as to just what DOD will require in terms of military hardware, personnel and other items for the long term.
