Hedge funds and the technology bubble
Article Abstract:
A study on the efficient markets concept that states that rational speculators stabilize prices is presented. In this context, the investment pattern of hedge funds during technology bubble is discussed. These funds invested in technology shares as the stocks climbed up. However, when the stocks started declining in price, the hedge funds stayed away from the markets. Consequently, the stocks fell rather sharply, leaving the hedge funds with much lesser values for their holdings.
