How Effective Are Advertorials?
Article Abstract:
Advertorials are pages of related advertisements for a particular subject interspersed with editorial content. The advertorial is clearly labeled Advertisement. 'Business Week' objects to any non-staff written material and will not carry any advertorials in 1984. An investigation of actual consumer readership of advertorials was conducted. Readership is no different or greater than for other ads. Most advertisers felt that publications benefit from advertorials by bringing in additional revenue.

Suburban Papers Add to Metro Buy
Article Abstract:
Newspapers are a strong advertising medium. However, the metro newspapers have not met the challenges of the marketplace, and are losing circulation. Local and community newspapers have increased their readership. Media planners should use both metro and suburban newspapers. Newspapers have a good product, they simply must improve the quality of their print presentation.
