History and future of ergonomics in building and construction
Article Abstract:
The role of ergonomics in the building and construction industry is analyzed. It is shown that most studies on ergonomics for the building and construction industry focus on the hazards while little attention is given to work factors such as physical work loads, noise and vibration. It is argued that the industry needs to implement major changes in working methods and technologies to ensure the safety of workers and the future of companies.
