Army will use supplemental to cover program losses
Article Abstract:
The Army will use the supplemental funds to replace the money redirected from the Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) and other programs to initiatives to counter improvised explosive devices. The goal of the LUH program, under which 320 helicopters will be acquired, is to replace aging UH-1 and OH-58 helos.

Comanche's end helps fuel Army aviation transformation
Article Abstract:
Modernization of the U.S. Army aviation is a priority and the industry is asked to assist in the transformation. Finances are sought to achieve this renewed goal and the decision to end the production of the RAH-66 Comanche helicopter would free much needed monies.
