Hubbub in The Hub
Article Abstract:
Six Boston advertising firms (Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopolus; Rizzo Simons Cohn; Arnold and Company; Ingalls Associates; HBM-Creamer; and Harold Cabot and Company) are analyzed in attempt to explain their success and longevity in the New York dominated advertising world. These agencies attribute much of their success to their computer company accounts and their realization that if you want top people, you must pay attractive wages. Accounts and the related advertising campaigns are discussed, as is the changing Boston advertising scene. Other advertising agencies in New York and Boston are also discussed.

The best headhunters in the business
Article Abstract:
Madison Avenue magazine surveyed more than 100 notable people in advertising to select the headhunters most esteemed. The headhunters picked are: the firm of Berger Jacobs Kozuck; and the following individuals: Robert Herman, Bonnie Lunt, Rod Funston, Barbara Dana, Jane Phin and Frank Farell. The survey found that the relationship with a headhunter is emotional; fair treatment by a headhunter brings strong loyalty; and treatment which is perceived as being unfair creates a smoldering anger.
