Ideas: theatrical design and the experience of objects
Article Abstract:
Industrial designers have always percieved theater and the theatrical as problems. They look at design as a defined distinction from theater and this can be observed in designers' attempts to remove the intrinsic relation between the audience or user to the object's design. In contrast, theater design makes the user-object relation central not only in terms of direct use but also in terms of articulation and levels of interaction and response. Therefore, design and theater should not be distinct from each other as both are involved in the stylistic transformation of reality.

Article Abstract:
Transitional and transformational objects, which are crucial aspects in children's relation with the outside world and in adults' maturity processes, are analyzed. These objects, which can range from a child's mother to a teddy bear, give insight to the nature of products because of the impact of a person's initial contact with them. Thus, the design of everyday things or products is recommended to be centered around their psychoanalysis or so-called inner life, not just their ergonomic relationships with humans.

Article Abstract:
There is no direct relationship between objects and the names ascribed to them. Labels do not describe the objects they denote nor do they ascribe characteristics to things. The labels ascribed to such objects depend mainly on who is doing the ascribing. From here, we can see that the label denotes some kind of function, and that the design of the object serves that function. Hence, the meaning of a chair connotes not so much the object in itself but rather what we perceive to be the function of that chair.
