In the homestretch: marketing execs move toward Clinton
Article Abstract:
The Chicago-based Leo J. Shapiro & Associates has conducted a series of interviews on presidential candidates. The results of the latest survey gave President Bush a statistically insignificant lead. Out of the 100 marketing executives interviewed, 45% cited wasteful spending as a major problem confronting the nation, 30% cited recession/unemployment and 19% cited leadership. The results show that marketers were deciding as typical businessmen since their preferences tend to favor the incumbents until they decide that they are not performing their duties efficiently.
