Bonds find favour among companies
Article Abstract:
The Indonesian bond market is doing well during 1997, as changes in government regulations and the growth of mutual funds have resulted in a higher demand for bonds. Corporations are attracted to these bonds because of the lower rate, compared to those in the US. Investors shied away from this bond market up to 1997 because withholding tax on bonds made them too expensive.

Bond market
Article Abstract:
Australia's government bond market is expected to perform well after the State governments initiated privatization and outsourcing workforce services in 1995. Predictions include restrained wages and lower import prices. Interest rates declined in 1996, generating more than 13% in returns for 10-year bonds. Indexed bonds will help prevent long-term inflation.
