Influence of tyre pressure and vertical load on coefficient of rolling resistance and simulated cycling performance
Article Abstract:
The coefficient of rolling resistance (Cr) for pneumatic tyres relies on hysteresis loss from tyre deformation affected by vertical force applied to tyres (Fv) and tyre inflation pressure (Pr). A study aimed to determine the relative influence of five rates of Pr and four rates of Fv on Cr, and examined the links between Cr, Pr and Vc during cycling locomotion. It is concluded that the relationships of Pr and Fv with Cr for cycling are non-linear.

A simple device for kinematic measurements of human movement
Article Abstract:
A device for the kinematic measurement of human movement was presented. The device consisted of bars linked by joints and incorporated an optical transducer. A computer connected to the device by an electronic interface measured the joint angle and determined the displacement. The device obtained values which were comparable to those obtained using tracking systems and video analysis.

Knobology in use: An experimental evaluation of ergonomics recommendations
Article Abstract:
The effect of different knob sizes and torque on operator performance is examined. It is found that high torques lead to less overshooting as compared to low torques and the results from duration of use has showed a tendency that the differences between knob sizes reduced from the first iteration to the second iteration.
