DSCA announces new foreign military sales
Article Abstract:
Charged with overseeing foreign military sales, the Pentagon agency has notified Congress of a series of prospective arms sales to Brazil, Israel, Japan, South Korea and Pakistan. The notification allows for the sale of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) air-defense missiles to Japan and the delivery of new radios to Pakistan, where the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) would make the proposed sales public.

GAO sees 'Risks' in Iraq contract awards
Article Abstract:
The General Accounting Office (GAO) has reported that inadequate staffing, lack of clearly defined roles, changing requirements and security constraints have all hampered efforts by government agencies to provide full oversight of Iraq reconstruction contracts. The GAO has found out that there was a lesser degree of compliance from agencies in issuing task orders under existing contracts.
