Russia, despite mistrust of China, sells it a potent arsenal
Article Abstract:
The Russian military-industrial complex aims to cultivate peaceful ties of cooperation with China in order to maintain its share of the Chinese arms market, without which, Russia would lack the funds to modernize its own military and also undermine its national security. Russia is acting in its own best interest in selling a significant portion of its arsenal to a huge neighbor like China with which it has a long history of territorial tensions.
