Kalamazoo and the comfort factor
Article Abstract:
Kalamazoo PLC has evolved from a paper-based accounting systems manufacturer to a leading computer service company through its subsidiary, the Kalamazoo Computer Group PLC (KCG). Based on the financial reports for a six month period ended January 31, 1991, KCG accounts for two-thirds of Kalamazoo PLC's profits. Its strong market presence in the computer trade is reflected in its being the only recommended computer systems supplier for main dealers of Ford. Its One-Up accounts system is a multi-awarded and highly recommended financial software package. KCG is now focusing on planning for the long-term with emphasis on maintaining a group structure of organization and the enhancement of its corporate image.

The Iomega solution
Article Abstract:
The Bernoulli Box from Iomega International is a cartridge storage device capable of performing much like a hard disk, without taking up slot space on the microcomputer. The Bernoulli Box sells for between 2,800 and 2,900 pounds sterling, which makes it more expensive than a comparable hard disk system. However, the Bernoulli Box's "infinite" expansion potential and the portability of the boxes themselves make the product worth the extra expense.
