Keep breathing
Article Abstract:
Porvair performed well in the six years to 1996 but was hit by problems related to a US acquisition and a drop in orders in 1996. The company has a good position in growth markets due to its proprietary technology. Selee Corporation was acquired for 24 million pounds sterling and saw a drop in sales of 8% for 1998 but sales have since recovered. The group produces Porelle, used for clothing for bad weather, and Permair, employed in laminating underleather. Both products were affected by short-term problems in 1996.
