Kimberly-Clark gets stronger in Europe

Kimberly-Clark CR (Prague, Czech Republic), paper sanitary supplies manufacturer, increased the capacity of its production plant in Jaromer, the Czech Republic, in 2000. The plant manufactures baby napkins. The investment costs on the project were USD 25 mil. The parent company Kimberly-Clark (US) increased its share on the European market with personal sanitary and health care supplies by 3% in 2000 compared to 1999. Currently, it has a 25% share on the European market. The firm generated a turnover of USD 14 bil all over the world in 2000.

Silon grows and invests massively
Article Abstract:
Silon (Plana nad Luznici, Czech Republic), synthetic fibres company, commissioned a new PET bottle processing line on 23 Apr 2001. The investment costs on the purchase of the line were CEK 220 mil. The line is the only one of this type in the Czech Republic at the moment. Silon saw proceeds of CEK 1.92 bil in 2000, one third more compared to 1999. Its profit amounted to CEK 1.92 bil in 2000. Silon's owner is the holding chemical company Constab Group (Germany).
