Lasmo
Article Abstract:
Lasmo is a petroleum exploration company, and the sector has tended to underperform the market as a whole. Lasmo benefits from a good exploration record, and it has reserves which are not reflected in its stock price. The sector could also benefit from a rise in petroleum prices. There is some concern about the company's Venezuelan activities and the tax regime in that country. Lasmo also faces political risk in some countries where it operates such as Pakistan and Libya.
