Article Abstract:
The life and works of Philip Lloyd, the finance director of the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) are described with specific reference to the role played by him in the organization. The Council works with employers to create training schemes for employees to improve their skills and knowledge, where Lloyd is associated with the input of finance in strategic thinking and decision-making, thus managing to secure the extra funding needed to meet the increase in demand.
