Let inflation be your guiding light
Article Abstract:
Investors have to assess future levels of inflation when making investment decisions. This is difficult to predict and high levels in the past were not forecast in the 1970s. Low rates of interest are not a problem if inflation is low and real interest rates are high, since capital accumulation can result. Equity markets can bring higher returns but they also involve higher risk levels. Investors should also assess whether they seek income or capital growth before taking decisions.

Article Abstract:
UK life insurance options include direct insurance with lower charges though these insurers may tend to avoid people seen as higher risk. Brokers may offer cheaper rates if they are asked. Rates have dropped due to less concern about the impact of Aids. The amount of cover needed will depend on the needs of dependents. They are likely to require an income so the sum paid out should be enough to produce the income that they need, and this involves an educated guess.
