Wescol is a producer of structural steel, and will increase sales of the company's Westok cellular beams in mainland Europe through a link with Salzgitter in Germany. Salzgitter has acquired a stake of 26% in Wescol, and the two companies are setting up a JV to make and market the beams. Wescol is a market leader in the United Kingdom structural steel market and the market has little spare capacity, experiencing strong demand, with order books and export volumes improving.
