Lockheed may boost US101 power, company says
Article Abstract:
Lockheed Martin Corp. may boost the power on its US101 helicopter that it wants to sell to the Navy as the next Marine One presidential transport helicopter. If the Navy gives the contract to Lockheed, the initial US101 helicopters would have three 2,500-shaft horsepower General Electric (GE) engines, but Lockheed will consider upgrading to 3,000-shaft horsepower engines after they are developed by GE.
