London's parks fall into private hands

There are eight Royal Parks in London, England, with a total 5,000 acre area, and the Royal Parks Agency seeks to protect the parks. Cardington PLC has a subsidiary called Royal Parks Enterprises Ltd. which is the commerical and marketing partner of the Royal Parks Agency. A number of lucrative events such as concerts are held in the parks every year. There are also collectibles, TV rights and other commercial possibilities, and the aim is to be more proactive in the program for the parks.

Clubhaus: watch the birdie

Clubhaus is an operator of golf clubs which plans a share placing in Jan 1996. Ex-Lands is to demerge Clubhaus and trading in both Clubhaus and Ex-Lands shares will commence on Feb 12 1996. Clubhaus has six clubs, three of which are operational, all in Germany. The other three clubs are in France, Belgium and England. The company plans to invest a minimum of 22.8 million pounds sterling. The company is still a speculative investment.
