Marketing outlook bright for new Raytheon APG-79 radar
Article Abstract:
The new Raytheon Company APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar system might find further applications in platforms as diverse as the F-15 E Eagle fighter plane or a large unmanned aerial vehicle. The APG-79 AESA has delivered Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) in tests and has used real-time targeting coordinates from high-resolution synthetic aperture radar to guide the JDAMs.

General Dynamics LCS may ace speed, helo landing, sea state tests

The General Dynamics Corp. Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is all set to ace test for its speed, helicopter-landing and radar-evading capabilities, and ability to handle high seas well. The LCS will be delivered to the Navy for less than $220 million target price for the basic ship.
