The U.S. military, the owner of the world's largest arsenal of precision weapons, is positioned to enter a new era in which miniature guidance kits could become cheap enough to put on many of howitzer shells and helicopter-launched rockets. It is based on Micro Electromechanical Systems, a manufacturing process that etches tiny structures into materials such as silicon chips.

Testing of special ops V-22 six months behind schedule
Article Abstract:
The testing of CV-22 version of the Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft intended for use by Special Forces has slipped half year behind schedule. The delay is due to the shortage of instrument-equipped parts that collect and broadcast data during flight testing, and availability of only two aircrafts which were not identically equipped for testers.
