GM corn pses little threat to monarch

Despite reports by researchers at Cornell University of genetically modified pollen killing monarch butterfly larvae, the Agricultural Biotechnology Stewardship Working Group reported at a symposium that limited pollen drift and lower than previously reported toxicity will not cause significant death.

Scientists from the Center for Ethics and Toxics, CA, and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine revealed that the Roundup-Ready soybean of Monsanto, genetically modified to be resistant to its Roundup herbicide, is 12-14% lower in isoflavones than natural soybeans.
