Moving beyond the b-to-b bias
Article Abstract:
The prejudice against business-to-business marketing has long been ingrained in the marketing world. Over the years, however, this bias is slowly being erased, with business-to-business marketing increasingly being given equal treatment as consumer marketing. This is quite evident in the American Business Press' Creative Excellence in Business Advertising Awards. Judges at the event, mostly working in the consumer field, praised the quality of participants at the awards.

Valuing intangible assets: Newark and beyond
Article Abstract:
The Supreme Court ruled that customer-based intangible (CBI) assets held a limited useful life and quantifiable value distinct from goodwill in the case of the Newark Morning Ledger Co. on Apr. 20, 1993. Although the CBI decision favored taxpayers, the court also required purchasing firms to set an asset valuation method for IRS purposes. The 1993 Clinton budget plan has redefined asset acquisition standards and offered another venue for intangible valuation cases.
