Article Abstract:
Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $22,427,620 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-D-8512 to perform FY99 planned incremental availability for USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The planned incremental availability will be a six month effort in which non-propulsion or "topside" maintenance, repairs, and alterations are performed. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in June 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $14,940,177 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

McMullen Associates Inc., New York, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,784,795 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-C-2813 to exercise an option for a full range of engineering and technical support services for the DDG 51 class ship construction and delivery program. Work will be performed Washington, D.C. (34%), Bath, Maine (33%), and Pascagoula, Miss. (33%), and is expected to be completed by June 1999.
