Article Abstract:
Digital System Resources, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $27,242,710 cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to previously awarded fixed-price incentive contract N00024-98-C-6204 for 19 towed array multipurpose processors and 13 spare kits to support the acoustic rapid commercial-off-the-shelf insertion program. Multipurpose processors use "middleware" which is the software that allows the interface between operating systems and the application software. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (60%); Manassas, Va. (30%); and a yet unknown location (10%), and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

DDL Omni Engineering L.L.C., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $7,732,141 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide services in support of tactical transducer programs. Work will be performed in Middletown, R.I., and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured as a small business set-aside via the Internet and two offers were received.
