Bechtel National, Inc., San Francisco, Calif., is being awarded a $384,620,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the development of advanced nuclear propulsion technology and technical support of all 116 Naval reactors at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Pittsburgh, Pa. This work is being performed for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (SEA 08), Naval Sea Systems Command. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $4,245,000,000. Work will be performed in Pittsburgh, Pa. (78%), Idaho Falls, Idaho (22%), and is expected to be completed by September 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
